I keep asking myself this question: What would make YOU confident enough to write a $25K–$50K check with someone?
Is it the numbers? The track record? Transparent communication? The operational expertise?
For me, it's all of it—but if I had to pick one, it's the person. You can have great numbers on paper, but if the operator doesn't have skin in the game and won't communicate, you're in trouble.
