First rockhounding of 2026
First time out of the year for myself and my fiancee ! We spent the day prospecting a newly acquired claim. We searched , hiked, explored and ofcourse did some hounding ! Found lots of small, but mighty pink garnets. Almost facet grade im sure of it. Some darker, almost black garnets. Some beautiful samples of mica and a mystery rock.... lol. All in all it was a beautiful day, and it felt lovely to be out exploring again !!

It’s been a busy day connecting with people and scouting out a new location for our 2026 field dig days. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone’s doing today. It’s nice and sunny where I am—I hope your day is filled with sunshine too 🌞

Heading out for a day of prospecting and exploration! 🔍💎
Today, my brother Robert and I are gearing up and heading into the field for some hands-on gemstone and crystal hunting. We're excited to explore new areas, scan for promising ground, and hopefully uncover some beautiful finds — think raw crystals, colorful gemstones, and whatever other hidden treasures the earth wants to share with us. Prospecting and exploration like this is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. There's nothing quite like the thrill of being out in nature, reading the landscape, and discovering something that’s been waiting there for who knows how long. If you're into gemstones, crystals, rockhounding, or just love the adventure of the outdoors, I’d love for you to join us on a future trip. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced collector, these field days are a great way to learn, connect with like-minded people, and bring home some amazing specimens. Who knows what we’ll find today — quartz varieties, agate, jasper, maybe even something rarer? I’ll be sure to share some photos videos and updates from the field later! Drop a comment below if you’d like to come prospecting with us someday, or if there’s a specific type of gemstone or crystal you’re hoping to hunt for. Let’s make some future field trips happen! ⛰️✨ See you in the field soon!

The hunt for green chlorite included quartz
A Day That Wasn’t Just About the Find 🌲 Today wasn’t one of those days where you walk away with pockets full of perfect pieces… and honestly, I’m glad. I spent the day up in the mountains chasing that green — looking for chlorite, hoping to find it tucked inside some quartz. I checked the usual spots, followed some float, broke a few rocks open… but nothing crazy showed up. But here’s the truth most people don’t talk about — days like this are just as important. I did find this small piece (pictured), and yeah, it’s not huge… but it’s real. It came from the ground, from time, from the mountain itself. That means something. Every trip teaches you something — where to look next time, what signs you missed, how the land is changing. And honestly… I’d take a day like this over sitting inside any day. Anyone else have one of those “not a big haul, but still a great day” kind of trips lately?
