A Day That Wasn’t Just About the Find 🌲
Today wasn’t one of those days where you walk away with pockets full of perfect pieces… and honestly, I’m glad.
I spent the day up in the mountains chasing that green — looking for chlorite, hoping to find it tucked inside some quartz. I checked the usual spots, followed some float, broke a few rocks open… but nothing crazy showed up.
But here’s the truth most people don’t talk about — days like this are just as important.
I did find this small piece (pictured), and yeah, it’s not huge… but it’s real. It came from the ground, from time, from the mountain itself. That means something.
Every trip teaches you something — where to look next time, what signs you missed, how the land is changing.
And honestly… I’d take a day like this over sitting inside any day.
Anyone else have one of those “not a big haul, but still a great day” kind of trips lately?
