Hi everyone! I recently had Estonian nationals and everything went pretty good, a few new pbs! I swam 7 different events (minus finals and relays) and nearly died haha but overall well!
50 free- 28.18 in the morning but was able to push it down to a 27.86 (+0.10 from my pb) so not that bad!
200 free- 2.16 (that was NOT the best swim, my backend speed definitely needs work as my last 50 was a 36 😬 but I also felt really slow in the water)
400 free- 4.37 I had hoped to go faster as my short course time is a 4.28 but overall pretty happy to have gone under the 4,40s. My stroke rate was also very even throughout the 400!
800 free- 9.48 I was a bit disappointed in this event as it is one of my main ones and ended up adding 18 seconds to my pb so definitely was not really doing well but I’m not as upset as I did a massive pb two weeks ago in another competition.
1500 free- 18.41 I had no expectations for this race whatsoever as before I genuinely thought I was going to faint or drown before that race but ended up doing neither and had a pretty good PB! (My time was 2 years old so I pb’d by 40 seconds)
200 fly- 2.46 This was such a humbling event for me as fly is one of my better strokes but I genuinely nearly died during this event and can happily say I will never do this willingly again (I did get 50 euros out of it so I’m not comparing!)
100 fly- 1.10 So.. I added around 3 seconds but TO BE FAIR I was distracted as my AirPod had somehow fallen into the children’s pool before my event so I was truly so concerned that it was dead the whole race
Overall, 3 pbs and 50 euros is not too bad of a haul! Now to focus on the summer competitions :)
