Credits from Old Platform Site
If anyone has rolled over credits from the old site, please email me [email protected] with your name, email address, number of credits you believe you have coming, and in the subject line, put "Legacy Credits". We are working hard to get everything to this platform so it will be easier for you to move forward. Nothing has changed yet ... just trying to make it better and easier for everyone involved. MIDI Drums
Hi All, I'm not a drummer. I've found loops and samples that I like for my genre but with time stretching and not being able to stem split my loops (older macbook), it takes a long time to program the drums from the loops into MIDI and then use the samples that I like. The loops are great for quick demo but not for the final production. If it was simply just replacing a kick that would be easy but I need to do all the cymbals and everything. Is there a way to speed this process up or a place that has great midi packs that I could use with my samples? Using Logic Pro.
MP 101 mixing project - key change issues
i'm doing the mix project for MP101. I am using raw vocals from my song that hs been prodcued already and recreating it as an acoustic mix (4 acoustics, 1 Lead Vocal). I have done a volume mix, and I've completed vocal dynamic gain staging. The problem before even getting to using compression / limiing etc, is that the key change after the bridge for th exit chorus is a bit of a belter. She's end nearly end of range in her vocals, but very consistent. It sounds "loud" but it isnt peaking at -14 dbs in the master bus just like the earlier choruses. Shes stepped away from ht emic, I guess. I cannot get it to it nicer into the mix now and it seems too different to the rest of the sections, louder (her effort/performance), but objectively quieter roughly same as other sectionsm- but just seems to drop lower than the other sections. are there any specific elements and techniques i need to consider for key changes when gain staging vocal dynamics and volume mixing - i did the volume mix first (as per videos) but I think ding vocals first might feel right for me - i guess it doesn matter? original production here: https://s.disco.ac/kmpgoyoisdgm and my mix is attached (eek, its bad - lol) thanks for any help
