Today’s run was tough going muddy under feet, really slippery in places - it was with great company and we chatted the miles away This week is taper week as have a Hyrox comp a week today

1st cycle of the year
I’m a club cyclist and got out on our first club ride of the year, the cycling club is very supportive and is non drop, we wait for each other at the tops of the hill - I also help bring the average age down. I’m often the only female and youngest on lots of rides. Pleased with the distance I find it hard juggling everything with the gym and running but keen to keep up the cycling as my partner is a keen cyclist he cycles about 130 miles per week all year round

Reframe around exercise
Well I am sort of properly getting back to the routine that works for me but one of the things that I am struggling with a bit is the whole exercise thing. This bit is going to sound quite Moany Minny - but it is how I feel about it. My exercise is walking but it is winter here and it rains a lot and I do not want to walk in the rain. So how to develop an exercise regime that works indoors? I feel quite physically clumsy and am convinced that I will get the exercises wrong. I don't want to go to a gym. I have tried them and they are not for me. I want to create some sort of exercise regime that I can do all year round but that feels sustainable and fun - preferably at home. Any suggestions? Thank you
Using the gym to escape
At the gym tonight for my 4th session of the week (5 if I include the fact I did 2 classes last night), thrown myself back into the gym but really struggling with food I’m dealing with a lot of sh1t at the moment, with work & home my only escape is the gym. I can’t put anything in place to sort out the work or home sh1t - as it’s people and emotions related all I can do is protect myself by going to the gym Next week will be fun as it’s meant to be taper week.
