My English Learning Adventure
As someone from China, I had already studied English for more than ten years like many others. Back in school, my English was actually pretty good. I even won second prize in a university-wide competition—competing against English majors! I guess my school might not have been top-tier, or maybe others didn’t take it too seriously, but still—I'll give myself a pat on the back! 🌟 It just goes to show that my English foundation wasn't too bad. But after graduation… well, I didn't use English much at all. For over ten years, it just stayed on the shelf. Then, this September, I decided to pick it up again. Why? Because of my son Edward, who’s now four and a half—truly the golden age for learning languages! I started searching online for resources to teach him. But something wonderful happened along the way: I rediscovered how much fun learning English could be! A big reason for that is all of you—yes, you! 👋 I’ve also met so many friends from around the world, all so kind, encouraging, and inspiring. It’s amazing how language can bring people together like this. I feel truly lucky to be here. It’s a beautiful thing to connect with others in a space free from conflict and misunderstanding. I’ve always loved learning, but the deeper I go, the more I love it. English isn’t just a language—it’s a bridge. A way to truly communicate, to connect heart to heart, and to share and appreciate cultures from every corner of the world. You know, I often imagine: if I could have one superpower for a day, I’d choose to speak and understand every language instantly. Wouldn’t that make the world so much closer? Here’s to fewer barriers, more understanding, and more empathy—one word at a time. Thank you for being part of my journey. It means more than you know. 😘

🇺🇸 English Expressions: Chew on This 🤔
Hey everyone! 👋 Today’s expression is “chew on this.” 👉 It means think about something carefully, especially an idea or piece of information that needs time to sink in. It’s often used when you want someone to reflect before reacting or deciding. Origin: This expression comes from the literal act of chewing food slowly. Just like you don’t swallow food right away, the idea is that you should take your time and think something through. Over time, it became a casual way to invite reflection. 🧠 Examples: • I’m not asking for an answer now — just chew on this for a bit. 😄 • Before you decide, chew on this: what happens if it doesn’t work? 🤔 • He gave me a lot to chew on after that conversation. 💭 Now it’s your turn! 💬 Drop your own sentence using “chew on this” below 👇 WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER! 🤝
