My English Learning Adventure
As someone from China, I had already studied English for more than ten years like many others. Back in school, my English was actually pretty good. I even won second prize in a university-wide competition—competing against English majors! I guess my school might not have been top-tier, or maybe others didn’t take it too seriously, but still—I'll give myself a pat on the back! 🌟 It just goes to show that my English foundation wasn't too bad. But after graduation… well, I didn't use English much at all. For over ten years, it just stayed on the shelf. Then, this September, I decided to pick it up again. Why? Because of my son Edward, who’s now four and a half—truly the golden age for learning languages! I started searching online for resources to teach him. But something wonderful happened along the way: I rediscovered how much fun learning English could be! A big reason for that is all of you—yes, you! 👋 I’ve also met so many friends from around the world, all so kind, encouraging, and inspiring. It’s amazing how language can bring people together like this. I feel truly lucky to be here. It’s a beautiful thing to connect with others in a space free from conflict and misunderstanding. I’ve always loved learning, but the deeper I go, the more I love it. English isn’t just a language—it’s a bridge. A way to truly communicate, to connect heart to heart, and to share and appreciate cultures from every corner of the world. You know, I often imagine: if I could have one superpower for a day, I’d choose to speak and understand every language instantly. Wouldn’t that make the world so much closer? Here’s to fewer barriers, more understanding, and more empathy—one word at a time. Thank you for being part of my journey. It means more than you know. 😘

Chinese Students: Easy Way for Consonants Pronunciations
Today I noticed an easy way for Chinese students to learn the consonants pronunciations in American English and would like to share with you. Generally speaking, if you have the correct pronunciations for all 声母 in Chinese, you’ve killed most of the consonants pronunciations in American English. The remaining four sounds are TH sounds (two different ones), V sound and R sound. Please see the comparison table for more details. * Note: this is summarized by myself, may not be 100% correct and cannot be used in professional occasions. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know!!!😄 ** I never logged in SKOOL via computer before. hahaha, but today I need create a table, so... hope the format is easy to review. 🙃
