Today is International Children's Day, so I want to talk a bit about fairy tales
Once upon a time... I mean, this morning I heard a song with the words: "Run, run, run as fast as you can, you can't stop me, I'm the Gingerbread Man." I guess every American kid knows these words. Am I right? They're from the classic fairy tale "The Gingerbread Man". Do you know this fairy tale? I didn't. Because in my country, we have a different but very similar fairy tale called "Kolobok" (I'm not sure how I should spell it in English). The main character is a little round bun who escapes from home and then outruns a hare, a wolf, a bear, and finally finds the dead end of his path when he meets a fox. Sounds familiar? It does! I did a little research and found out that similar stories exist in many countries. For example, in Germany and Norway. What about your country? Are there any similar fairy tales? Do you like fairy tales? Which one is your favorite?
