Feed Traffic
We have received comments that the feed feels heavily congested, difficult to get through as well as intimidating due to such high volume of posts. We’d ask that individual members limit their daily posts to 2 or 3, so that we don’t monopolize on the space and keep it inviting for new contributors, as well as make it easier to catch up on the feed for those who log in. Thank you for your attention to this matter. -Mods

The university disciplinary council has upheld the ban on Alireza Jafarzadeh's education
The university disciplinary council has upheld the ban on Alireza Jafarzadeh's education and proposed his expulsion from the university. The Beheshti University disciplinary council has upheld the ban on Alireza Jafarzadeh, a master's student in political economy, for two and a half years. Based on the vote issued, he has been banned from studying for two and a half years, and a written reprimand will also be recorded in his case. This ruling was issued by the university's disciplinary committee on the 8th of July 2023, and the disciplinary council confirmed it on the 18th of August. At the same time, Jafarzadeh's proposal to expel him from the university has also been referred to the Student Affairs Organization for review and decision. In this student's disciplinary case, charges have been raised, including "creating chaos and unrest in the university environment," "insulting Islamic and national Islamic and religious symbols," "not observing student affairs," and "assault and injury." The charge of damaging cameras was also raised, which was dismissed due to lack of sufficient evidence. Jafarzadeh had previously faced a criminal case in 2021. In that case, he was sentenced to one year of disciplinary imprisonment and two years of ban on social media activity on charges of "insulting the leadership." The judge emphasizes that the right to education is a fundamental right of every individual, and depriving a student of education, especially through permanent expulsion from the university, directly limits this right. Such a severe punishment must be exceptional, fully documented, and appropriate, and the right to education cannot be turned into a tool for punishing students due to their protests or activities in the university environment. #Judge #Alireza_Jafarzadeh

Mohsen Mohammadpour
27th of Mordad is the birthday of the immortal Mohsen Mohammadpour. A young worker who, in Aban 98, was only 17 years old, was killed by the Islamic Republic. Mohsen used to build structures after school. The day before his death, he had told his relatives that he wanted to go out tomorrow to protest. On the day of the tragedy, he was just standing on the street near their house when suddenly it became crowded, and the agents attacked him with batons and severely beat Mohsen, causing him to fall to the ground and again they did not let him go and tried to hit him with a baton as much as they could and sucked his blood. The people were frightened and no one came forward to help; until a woman and her daughter came and asked for help from the people, but no one stepped forward to help. The woman lifted Mohsen and put him on her back and took him to the side of the street to take him to the hospital. His mother held a ceremony at home every day and offered a prayer for his child to open his eyes again and come to his senses, and that same happy and brave Mohsen would return home. He had been hospitalized for eleven days and apparently was in a coma. On the afternoon of the tenth day that Mohsen was in a coma, the hospital called and said, "Your son has passed away..." Mohsen was innocent and was buried in a coma. He was innocent. According to his relatives, "He was a very hardworking boy. He studied, worked, and played football with the children in the alley." #Mohsen_Mohammadpour

According to human rights sources, political prisoner Mojtaba Moghiseh has been released from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad after completing his prison term and sent to Khor and Biabanak County to serve his one-year exile sentence. On Saturday, August 14, 2015, after his release from prison, Mojtaba Moghiseh was transferred to Khor and Biabanak County to serve his exile sentence. He was arrested by security forces in his home in Sabzevar in August 2015 and sentenced to seven months and 15 days in prison and one year in exile by the First Branch of the Sabzevar Revolutionary Court on charges of “propaganda against the regime.”
