We all know opposing views are welcome in open discussions, but don’t be drawn out by time trolls here to waste your time in disingenuous arguments. Their clear pattern is the furthering of their own political ideology and/or sowing division between supporters of Pahlavi and the US government. These tactics are not new. They are especially visible right now during Iran’s internet blackout. While ordinary citizens are completely cut off, IRGC Cyber Army operatives continue posting nonstop because they hold special white SIM cards that give them privileged, unfiltered internet access. Many of these accounts sound and write like genuine Iranians. They are fluent in Persian, familiar with the culture and language. Yet they are regime agents. They infiltrate pro-Pahlavi communities by posing as insiders or concerned supporters, then amplify grievances, push anti-Pahlavi or anti-USA narratives, and direct coordinated efforts to fracture the group from within. This selective access proves that a large number of the anti-Pahlavi voices active today are not real grassroots citizens but state-backed infiltrators working to undermine Reza Pahlavi’s support &/or pushing Pahlavi’s supporters away from USA. State-sponsored operatives backed by regimes like Iran, Russia, China, and their allies have long infiltrated online communities by creating fake personas that pretend to be genuine supporters. They build trust, then amplify grievances, pit people against each other, and escalate tensions using classic divide-and-conquer methods to erode unity and trust. A parallel stand-alone complex also exists with non-state actors. Domestic or ideologically driven individuals who operate independently but achieve the same effect. Driven by opposing political views, they pose as insiders, use sockpuppet accounts, and employ concern trolling or domestic astroturfing to undermine group cohesion without any central coordination. This combination of foreign and independent actors has repeatedly targeted diaspora and opposition communities.
