Ceasefire = Troop Movement
By the time the two-week ceasefire expires, the United States will likely have used the pause to close the remaining distance between its naval assets and the Iran theater, with USS Tripoli already in the region for Marine contingency missions and USS Gerald R. Ford positioned to move closer for strike, air-cover, and broader power-projection roles; the United States also tends to treat its deployed personnel as its most valuable assets, which is why it usually prefers not to place Marine or other human assets in danger without first moving enough naval and air power nearby to support, protect, and if necessary extract them; in that sense, the two-week window matters not because it guarantees immediate war, but because it roughly matches the time needed to tighten deployment geometry, shorten reaction time, and leave Washington with a more credible military option if the ceasefire breaks down.
