Distinguishing Faith From Extremism
It’s important to separate the actions of extremists from the beliefs of everyday people. Saying Islam itself mandates domination collapses centuries of scholarship, culture, and interpretation into a single hostile narrative.
Extremism is a problem but it’s a problem within many traditions, not a defining feature of one. If we want to protect our societies, we need to target violent ideologies, not entire faith communities.
Precision isn’t weakness. It’s how you stay principled while staying safe.
