Being Resilient allows you to do so many things.
People ask me how do I cope travelling with MND. First I source local foods I can eat, blueberries, eggs, porridge, pumpkin for soup and banana. Then I organise a massage table from local massage place to rent to stretch out everyday. Then I take the opportunity to walk wherever I can. This includes the airport from the toilet. I adapt wherever possible. I’m very grateful to everyone in Vanuatu, even the bus driver in Vanuatu found pumpkins for me and the owner of the resort found some items from local markets. Just awesome!

Resilience is doing things you never thought possible!
I’m so grateful for my team to help me get up on the dance floor recently, which I miss so much. It made my night

My exercise journey
People wonder what my exercise looks like these days. From bike in the sunshine getting vitamin D, to the massage table for stretching and massage and infrared on some occasions. I try to move everything. Special thanks to my awesome team. This process takes about an hour I Enjoy! What have you done to move today?

Resilience to the Max!
We made it halfway around the globe from 34 degrees in Brisbane to -2 degrees in Toronto Canada. The journey tested my resilience and pain levels but my amazing team did the impossible. Our flight from Brisbane was delayed by eight hours, then we boarded with thunder and lightning surrounding us. We sat on the tarmac for two hours. We landed at Vancouver expecting to miss our connecting flight, but we had heard our flight was boarding and one of my team ran to stop the plane. We made it by five minutes and landed in Toronto at 1:30am. With the hire car place closing at 2am Steve ran ahead and just made it in time. We arrived at our accomodation at 4:30am jubilant but we did it. Rugged up now and checking out Christmas trees everywhere in the city. I’m very grateful for my life.

Sometimes it Takes Many People to Achieve Small Things.
So many people help me when I’m flying. To get to my seat on the plane my care team transfers me to an aisle wheelchair which then takes me down the plane. Then my team transfers me to the seat. We got to Vegas via Vancouver Canada. The whole Air Canada team were marvellous, helping us as needed. I’m so grateful for everyone helping me to achieve my purpose.
