Need Guidance on cold outreach setup
Hey Jay — would really value your calibration on this.
I’m currently running cold outreach for a speed-to-lead & follow-up system sold to service-based businesses (coaches / consultants / professional services).
I’m not looking to change the offer — this is specifically about cold outreach structure in 2026 and whether my setup is good enough to close clients, or if I’m missing something obvious.
Current outbound setup:
  • 4-step cold email sequence (short, professional, diagnostic)
  • Permission-based CTA (offer to send a short Loom audit)
  • 7-step warm nurture only after someone receives the Loom
  • Speed-to-lead replies under 5–10 minutes
  • Email + SMS show-up reminders for booked calls
  • No humor / no gimmicks / no aggressive guarantees
Early data is normal (some no’s, OOO, soft signals), but my main question is structural:
👉 In your view, is this sequence depth + structure enough in 2026 to reliably convert cold leads into calls — or do you see any red flags / unnecessary layers here?
Not asking for copy critique — just whether the framework itself is solid or if you’d simplify further.
Appreciate any insight.
