Classroom Sizes
Hey guys! What sizes do you try to keep your kidmin classes? Right now we divide up the following way: nursery (6-23 months), toddler (2-3), prek/k, and 1st-5th. I am starting to feel like we are pushing the upper limits of how many kids we should have in these classrooms and may be needing to add an additional classroom or two- which space will be challenging. But, I am curious what the rule of thumb is for the number of kids in each small group setting. Thanks so much!
Kids Ministry Curriculum Review
Where is the info on curriculum for kids ministry. I know we talked about a bunch of different ones. I am reviewing curriculum and want to know what people think is best. Why they like certain ones and why they don't. Thanks!
Baptism Primer
Does anyone have a short kids version of a baptism primer that they could share? (Thinking kids aged 6-13). That briefly goes over what it is, why it is important, what it means, etc. in a kid-friendly way?
Volunteer Kids
Hello! We have volunteers that bring their kids to serve with them. I love that they want to serve as a family and teach their kiddos how to serve in the church, but as far as safety and ratio I was curious what others do when it comes to this. This happens mainly when parents are serving in the nursery. Do kids need to be a certain age before serving with a parent? With nursery is it adult only volunteers?
New Families
Hi! We are working on tracking retention rate of new families. We currently send postcards to first time guests. What are some other ways your children's ministry reaches out to new families?
