Could you kick in this stadium?
Would've loved to had the chance, yet no one has ever kicked in front of this crowd. The Colosseum in Rome in one of the world's great wonders. 2,000 years of history. Standing where gladiators once fought, brought back memories of standing at Lambeau Field and feeling the rush (and jitters) of playing in front of so many people in such a magnificent setting. Kicking in front of 80,000 is challenging. Kicking (and surviving) in front of 50,000 people and the Emperor might be just a touch harder.

"Greatest" Kicking Movies
I know, the pickings are slim in this category... if you really want to make an impact in the kicking world, you just might want to become a Hollywood film director or screenwriter and make a great film featuring a kicker or punter. Here's what you're up against... The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon (1998) An ABC TV movie starring Tony Danza as a sanitation worker who becomes a star kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles as a publicity stunt. Gus (1976) Classic 70's Disney comedy about a mule named Gus who can kick 100-yard field goals with perfect accuracy, leading a struggling NFL team to success. The Replacements (2000) Features Rhys Ifans as Nigel "The Leg" Gruff, a chain-smoking Welsh soccer player turned replacement kicker for the fictional Washington Sentinels.

Strength Training for Kickers/Punters!
Hello all! My name is Nathan Custer. I am an alumni of UW-Whitewater where I was a Punter and kicker. I am now a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a passion to help kickers and punters get the performance training in the weight room they need, that is often neglected for high school athletes. I believe that getting in the weight room and attacking a plan with high intent can make a large difference for any athlete looking to be the best they can be. I have experience training the specialists for the Wisconsin Badgers football team as well as being a kicker/punter myself. I fell through the cracks in high school, avoiding the weight room for the most part, relying on my raw abilities. Little did I know, I was setting myself back years of potential because I couldn't find my way to the weight room. Now my passion is help others avoid this mistake. If you're looking to add this aspect into your training routine, I would be more than happy to help you develop a plan for strength and power GAINZ to attack this summer off-season with. I offer personalized online programs as well as in person, one-on-one training for anyone in or willing to travel to the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls, WI area. Email me at [email protected] or shoot me a text at 715-218-8557 with your name, age, and school if interested!

The Kicking Friends You'll Make...
I started this group to help kickers and punters to develop their skills to their greatest potential. But also to provide a community of like-minded people, both young and old, who have a connection to this unique position in sports. Because so many kickers (and I use that term to also include punters, btw) spend their time alone on a deserted field practicing their technique, they often don't get the camaraderie that is instantaneous for the rest of the team. So making friends can be hard. I think it's why you looked with anticipation to find the opponents kicker in the line-up to shake hands after the game... to make a connection to someone who "gets you". Yet, typical for most kickers, they make no other connection to those same people outside of the game. That's one big benefit of being here! Inside KICKING SKOOL! So, please, don't be afraid to: • post a thought • ask a question • upload a kicking video • teach a technique • make a genuine comment on someone else's post • add a funny GIF to a post that expresses your approval • even, DM me, or someone else! _ _ _ I'm an "old-timer"... but I make 100+ new friends every summer at my camps. I make a point of learning everyone's name while they're at camp. I always ask, "What's your name, what school do you go to? What year will you be this Fall?" You can do the same right here. Be brave enough to introduce yourself. If you haven't already, do so again — any time! (And if you have a picture of yourself, or of you kicking or punting, we'd all love to see it!) 😆 Hey!
