Tell me about yourself.
Let's get to know each other. Introduce yourself and include: • Your name • Where you're from • A little bit about yourself • One big goal you want to accomplish in the next 12 months It could be completing your first Ironman, improving your fitness, growing your business, strengthening your mindset, or chasing a goal that's been on your heart for a long time.
Tell me about yourself.
How’s everyone doing?
How’s the progression going everyone?? I thought I’d share an update for the year. I have my first 50 mile ultra on November 7th. (Goal is sub 10 hours). My two strategies I am contemplating are as follows. First, run a 3:30 marathon and then suffer to the finish. (Basically run, jog, walk, crawl, the last 24) Second, pace 9:00 - 9:30 min mile as long as I can. Hope everyone is rocking and rolling! (Side note, I ran 33 miles back in July and learned what it means to run an ultra.)
How’s everyone doing?
A promise I made to myself..
After listening to both of James Lawrence's audiobooks, one lesson really stuck with me: I needed to stop avoiding the things I wasn't good at. So I made myself a simple promise: Do more of the things I suck at, just to prove to myself that anything is possible. I'm not a runner. I'm not an endurance athlete. There are plenty of things physically that don't come naturally to me. But instead of using that as a reason not to do them, I've started deliberately going towards them. I'm currently on Day 47 of my own 100-day challenge, and so far the journey has taken me through: • 422.44 km cardio/movement • 382.983 tonnes of resistance volume • 13,808 reps • 25 kg heaviest Ruck • 4.65 km swimming • 28.52 km canoeing open waters None of those numbers are records. That's not why they matter to me. They represent 47 days of keeping an appointment with myself. I've joined this community because becoming an Ironman is something I've wanted for a long time. And eventually I want to find out just how far beyond one Ironman I can take myself. For now, though, it's Day 47. Keep showing up. Keep doing what you're bad at. Keep finding out what you're capable of. 53 days to go. 💪🏼 P.E.A.C.E 💯Positive Energy Activates Constant Elevation.
