Bureau fee issue

I just heard a terrible story from a speaker that found out from a client that the speaker's bureau massively inflated their fee. The speaker that been told the bureau added on 30%. It ended up being double the speaker's rate. Of course they didn't offer the speaker any more. More and more I'm realizing how lucky I am that the one experience I've had so far with a bureau has been good!
