The Microphone Still Belongs to Humans
AI will not replace speakers. But speakers who use AI may outperform speakers who don't. Not because AI speaks better. Because AI helps speakers think, prepare, refine, and scale faster. AI can help speakers: • Turn rough ideas into structured talks • Generate stories, examples, and analogies • Refine messages for different audiences • Create slides and supporting materials faster • Practice through simulated Q&A sessions • Analyze filler words, pace, and clarity • Repurpose one speech into articles, posts, podcasts, and newsletters The speaker still provides the experience. The speaker still provides the insight. The speaker still provides the human connection. AI simply removes friction from the process. The microphone still belongs to the human. AI just helps amplify the voice. How are you currently using AI in your speaking journey? 'Seeing how effectively @Sandi Boucher is leveraging AI in her speaking business insisted me to bring up this post: AI can help create the speech, but only a speaker can create the moment. I would love to support fellow members in assisting with various AI tools available to an extend. Let's grow together!!! Thank you! Gopika!

Well said @Sandi Boucher . I really like that distinction — human first, AI second. Your point that people hire you, not AI, feels especially important for speakers. The voice, stories, lived experiences, and connection are still uniquely human. I also love the idea of building an AI assistant around your values, style, and favourite phrases so it amplifies your voice rather than replacing it. Perhaps that's the sweet spot for speakers: authenticity at the core, with AI helping us remove friction and increase impact.
This Week's Lesson - Make it Easy for Them!!
Claude has been helping me up my company game in a million ways over the last few weeks but one thing became crystal clear as we worked together - I had to make it easier for people to TALK to me. Why? Because my entire brand is how approachable and friendly and encouraging I am and an email just doesn't cut it. So now, links on all my social media and on the main page of my website link to my bookings calendar so they can book a chat with me to discuss their needs or the concerns they want to address. And by talking, I can put them at ease ... leading to a booking or a sale. I am excited to see my calendar FILL UP with chats with prospective customers and it is already happening (3 chats booked on Friday alone). Don't make them type out an email to you. Too much work and just enough friction to turn them off. Give them a chance to TALK to you so they can see YOU are exactly what their event needs. Food for thought. Love ya tons! Sandi

YouTube is MORE Than a Viable Option!
IMHO ... if you don't have a speaking event booked, shoot a video. Get out there, spread your message. Because it IS a viable option! But know this, consistency is the key! COMMIT to one a week or one a month, released on the same day each month. (Doesn't matter when you shoot it, RELEASE it on the same day each month so followers know when to watch for it.) You are not going for PERFECTION. Aim for AUTHENTICITY. Kevin's story (and related views) proved it. And last week I shared about my story ... and again YouTube delivered. You get what you put into it, SO START PUTTING! Open to chatting with anyone that has questions! Love ya! Sandi

Tomorrow's Inspiring Talks call is canceled
Hi folks, Tomorrow is Canada Day, a national holiday for all us Canadians. We're traveling to see some old friends and celebrate the day, so unfortunately I won't be able to make it to our call tomorrow. But I'll look forward to seeing all of you next Wednesday for yet another amazing call. Have a great week ahead! And happy Canada day to my fellow Canadians! 🍁🇨🇦🎉 🍻 Drew Inspiring Speakers Bureau

Home ...
This week - no events. Which means I get to be home, promoting products, spending quality time with family and friends and learning. Because we don't build our businesses only on the days we are on stage. Like raising a child into an amazing adult, we work on our businesses daily (because yes, self-care days are part of running your business too as long as they have corresponding work days). So what are YOU doing today to build YOUR business today? On my end: - I scheduled some social media posts that Claude helped me write - I did today's lesson in a Mastermind Group I belong to. - I will be completing more AI training today. - I am meeting with a potential client who has some questions she wants my help with. - I will be sending out some invoices and mailing out a recent book order. - And whatever else I can get done before the day is done. And tonight, I will be proud of how I honoured the business I have built, honoured it by making sure it thrives. The journey continues! Comment below. What are YOU doing for your business today? Love ya! Sandi
