You Laugh » the Universe Listens Differently
(aka Turning Chaos into Comedy, One Laugh at a Time) I run my life on a very strict policy: laugh once before coffee, twice after emails, and continuously whenever reality starts behaving like it deserves a dramatic soundtrack. Humour isn’t a luxury. It’s fuel. The good sort. Keeps the engine running without all that unnecessary grinding. When you laugh: • Your body loosens up as if it’s been granted an unexpected afternoon off • Stress hormones take the hint and quietly see themselves out • Creativity perks up and gets on with something useful • Your energy stops dribbling away and starts behaving with a bit more dignity And for others: • You become the person people gravitate towards without quite knowing why • You dissolve tension without needing charts, graphs, or a meeting about it • You remind people that life is an experience, not an ambush • You create connection faster than most people can unlock their phones • You can ask or complain about anything if you use humour. With a touch of wit, even a complaint feels like a shared joke rather than a personal attack. People don’t brace themselves, they lean in. They cope better, and quite often, they enjoy you for it. Now, the curious bit. Every time you choose humour, you’re sending a rather composed message to the universe: - “I see what you’re doing. I’m not entirely impressed. Carry on.” And occasionally, for clarity: - “Really? This is the plan? Can't WE do better saving time and unecessary stress?” - “What exactly were you thinking there? Be clear as you ask me to be.” - “Are we aiming for growth or just giving me admin?” - “I was rather hoping for insight, not… whatever this is. Please clarify” - “And what happened to our deep, meaningful connection? This feels suspiciously like busywork.” And the universe, which does enjoy a well-handled situation, tends to respond: - “Good. Let’s not make this harder than necessary.” So laugh at the chaos. Laugh at the plans that wandered off without you.
