You are not alone
When you have an unavailable parent, you easily get attached to anyone who shows you kindness.
You easily get attached to people out of reach.
You build your hopes up , maybe you finally found someone who resembles your missing parent, and then you discover they are not who you wanted them to be.
After realising you cannot substitute an unavailable parent, you enter a grieving phase.
It seems like it's a never-ending process.
This heavy feeling accompanies you every day, everywhere you go.
Like a dark cloud walking alongside you.
You try everything. Find a new hobby, travel, change your environment, work, distract yourself ... etc.
But nothing seems to help. These things only serve as temporary relief to still the pain.
In moments of silence, the grief comes back.
You sit with it, you feel it, you tell your inner child, "I am here for you"
"I am listening"
"Tell me more"
And the sadness is still there.
I once heard Dr Julie say, "You cannot get rid of grief." You learn to live with it. You build your life around it. And then one day, it disappears.
It seems like forever, but it will pass eventually!
Especially when you have a supportive community of like-minded people.
And a supportive coach like
To anyone going through a grieving process right now, I just wanted to tell you, we see you.
I know this feels heavy right now, but you are going to get through this.
I wish there was something we could do or say to make this feeling go away.
Just know we are here with you, holding you and supporting you.
We cannot make this feeling go away, but maybe it becomes a little lighter when we carry it together.
I'm so sorry you had to go through this!
Know that you are surrounded by love and light, washing all your pains away
A kind heart can never be let down by the universe/the Divine.
Imagine avalanches of light pouring down from the heavens straight into your heart, pushing all the pains outside, like water pouring into a cup, cleansing all the ache out, like dirt being replaced with clean water.
Dear God,
I ask you to lift this burden from our hearts and replace it with serenity.
Wash our pains away with love and light, like cleansing water and cooling snow.
One of my favourite songs is "Be Here Now" by Ray Lamontagne.
I listen to it whenever I feel sad.
