💜 THINGS WE NEVER SAY OUT LOUD
"Sometimes, I'm overwhelmed, but I don't know how to tell anyone." Sometimes I get tired of being the person who always has everything under control. The one who remembers what needs to be done. The one who solves the problems. The one who listens when everyone else needs to vent. The one who somehow finds a way to get it all done. But here's what I rarely say out loud... Sometimes, I wish someone would notice that I'm struggling without me having to explain it. Sometimes, I look around at everything that needs my attention, and I don't even know where to begin. And sometimes, the smallest thing can bring me to tears. Not because that one thing is so terrible, but because it's sitting on top of everything else I've been carrying. The hardest part? I feel guilty for being overwhelmed because I know there are people depending on me. So I tell myself to push through, get it together, and keep going. But I'm beginning to understand something. Being overwhelmed doesn't mean I'm incapable. It means I'm human. I don't have to prove my strength by carrying everything without help. I don't have to feel guilty for needing a break. And I certainly don't have to wait until I'm completely exhausted before admitting that I need one. Sometimes the strongest thing we can say is, "I have a lot on my plate right now, and I need a little room to breathe." I'm learning that rest isn't something I have to earn by finishing everything on my to-do list. It's something I need so I can continue showing up as the woman God is helping me become. 💜 🌷 LADIES, LET'S TALK HONESTLY. Have you ever been so overwhelmed that you didn't know how to ask for help, so you just kept pushing through? What is something you wish others understood about the weight you're carrying?
Spill the Beans
Sometimes I'm not as strong as everyone thinks I am. Sometimes I say, "I'm fine," because explaining what's really going on inside me feels harder than pretending everything is okay. Sometimes I encourage other women to believe in themselves while quietly questioning my own worth. I still worry about disappointing people. I still replay conversations in my head, wondering if I said something wrong. Sometimes I want someone to ask how I'm doing and actually have time to hear the answer. And sometimes, I'm just tired of being the woman who always figures everything out. There. 𝗜 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁.🔊 For years, I thought admitting these things would make me appear weak. So I learned to keep certain feelings to myself, put on a smile, and keep moving. But I'm beginning to realize that being strong doesn't mean I have to hide every struggle. I'm allowed to have moments of uncertainty. I'm allowed to need encouragement. I'm allowed to be a work in progress. And most importantly, I don't have to pretend I've got everything figured out just because I've reached a certain age. Maybe some of the things we're most afraid to say out loud are the very things another woman needs to hear. ❤️ 💜 LADIES, let's have an honest conversation. What's something you've kept to yourself because you were afraid of being misunderstood or judged? No judgment. No pretending. Just women giving each other room to be human. 🌷
THE REAL ANSWER🙄
Sis, everybody asks how you’re doing, and most days we automatically say, “I’m fine.” But if you didn’t have to be strong for anybody today, what would your REAL answer be? More often than not, we put a mask on and fake it til we make it. But what if we could be fully open, fully honest and fully transparent? Again…WHAT WOULD YOUR REAL ANSWER BE?
