💜 CELEBRATING CORETTA SUTTON — A WOMAN OF PURPOSE! 💜
Today, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Coretta Sutton! 🌷 Coretta, thank you for consistently keeping us informed about the different awareness months and reminding us of issues that deserve our attention, compassion, and understanding. What inspires me most is your ability to take life's challenges and turn them into purpose. Instead of allowing difficult experiences to define your future, you're using them as opportunities to educate, encourage, and make a difference in the lives of others. That's what growth looks like. That's what walking in purpose looks like! You remind us that sometimes the very things we go through become the foundation for how we help someone else. Keep shining, keep educating, and keep walking boldly in your purpose! We see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you, Coretta! 💜👏 #HerNextChapterAcademy #WomenCelebratingWomen #PurposeThroughPain #AwarenessMatters #WomenEmpoweringWomen

The Gift of Engagement, Connections Over Comments
Many women desire sisterhood but struggle with the vulnerability, trust, and consistency required to build it. Let's have an honest conversation.🥰🤗🥰🤗 We often talk about the importance of sisterhood, supporting one another, and growing together. But sometimes, even when we're surrounded by amazing women, we hesitate to connect. What do you believe is the biggest barrier that keeps women from genuinely connecting, supporting, and engaging with one another?🤔 Is it past hurt, lack of trust, fear of judgment, comparison, or something else?🥺 Let's talk about it because we cannot build genuine sisterhood without understanding what keeps us disconnected. No Woman Left Behind!

Bonding With Trauma
12 Reasons Women MAY Remain Connected to Their Trauma 1. Their trauma has become part of their identity. When a woman has experienced rejection, abandonment, abuse, betrayal, or loss for years, she may begin defining herself by what happened to her. She knows who she is as a survivor, but she hasn't discovered who she is BEYOND survival. 2. Pain feels more familiar than peace. When chaos has been a constant presence, peace can feel uncomfortable or even suspicious. She may find herself anticipating the next disappointment because her nervous system has learned to remain on alert. 3. They confuse healing with forgetting. Some women fear that moving forward means minimizing what happened, excusing someone's behavior, or pretending the pain wasn't real. But healing doesn't require forgetting. It means the experience no longer has to control every decision. 4. They are still waiting for an apology or acknowledgment. She wants someone to admit: "I hurt you." "You didn't deserve that." "I was wrong." Without that acknowledgment, she may feel unable to close the chapter. (THIS WAS ME!) 5. They have developed a trauma bond. In some abusive or manipulative relationships, cycles of affection, mistreatment, fear, and reconciliation create powerful emotional attachments. Leaving those relationships can be psychologically and practically difficult, even when a woman recognizes the harm. 6. They feel guilty about choosing themselves. Women who have spent decades being caregivers, wives, mothers, employees, and everyone else's support system may experience guilt when they begin establishing boundaries. They've learned that putting themselves first is selfish rather than necessary. 7. They haven't learned who they are without the struggle. When survival has consumed much of a woman's life, she may struggle to imagine an identity built around joy, freedom, purpose, and healthy relationships. The question becomes: "If I'm no longer fighting to survive, who am I?" 8. They are afraid of being hurt again.

@Dawn Smith that quote is very powerful and true for so many women in the 40-50,60 age range just now trying to rebuild again. Taking to to actually heal. forgive the inner child, correct negative thinking. I believe it is ok to take your own sweet time to understand your trauma. O I do believe you can help others through trauma while you maybe working through a different trauma. I do believe in my heart it’s ok if you have to take your own sweet time to recognize your hurt, your trauma, your self esteem rebuild, trust rebuild. It’s ok to want to exhale, but your still at the point in your life that you are trying to catch your breath. Trauma can rob people of the true sense of self.I also believe you can push on through your trauma and still help others. Jan this is very well written I love it!
