Why did you create Her Next Chapter Academy?
I created Her Next Chapter because I know what it feels like to face major transitions and wonder, “Who am I now?” Women over 40 often spend years serving everyone else. The Academy gives us a safe place to connect with others, reconnect with ourselves, strengthen our faith, and prepare for what God is calling us to do next.

Her Next Chapter means so much to me because I know what it feels like to lose pieces of yourself in survival, grief, responsibility, and always being who somebody else needed you to be. There have been seasons where I honestly didn’t know who I was outside of taking care of everybody else or just trying to make it through what was in front of me. And that question, ‘Who am I now?’ is very real for me. What I love about the Academy is that it gives women like me a place to slow down, be honest, reconnect with God, and start discovering who we are in this next season. Not who we used to be. Not who people expected us to be. But who God is calling us to become. For me, that’s what Her Next Chapter is about — learning that surviving was part of my story, but it doesn’t have to be the end of it.

Two financial methods for paying off debt
As we work on moving forward financially, I wanted to share two common debt payoff methods that can help us become more intentional with how we tackle high debt. The Debt Avalanche Method focuses on paying off the highest-interest debt first, which can save the most money over time. The Debt Snowball Method focuses on paying off the smallest balance first, helping build momentum and motivation as debts are eliminated one by one. Neither method is automatically “better” for everyone. The best method is the one you can stay consistent with. Financial freedom isn’t just about numbers. It’s also about discipline, habits, and choosing a strategy you can actually follow through with.

Monday Night Modules - Awareness
Tonight was another good one! We dug deep and came up with a 30 Day Declutter Challenge. We realize it’s hard to be productive while sitting in the midst of chaos, so each week for 30 days, GET RID OF A BAG! You can do more but we’re going to GIVE OURSELVES GRACE and start with one! And remember to PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER! Until next Monday….Keep growing and turning your page!

As we’re cleanin’ out, organizing, and makin’ room for what’s next, don’t forget that some of the things we no longer need may be able to bless somebody else. 💛 Gently used clothing and household items can be donated to qualified charitable organizations such as Goodwill, The Salvation Army, local shelters, and other eligible nonprofits. Depending on your tax situation and whether IRS requirements are met, those donations may also qualify for a charitable deduction. Keep your receipts, make a simple list of what you donated, and record a reasonable fair-market value for your items. Sometimes clearing out isn’t just about getting rid of stuff. It can be an opportunity to help someone else while becoming more intentional with what we have. Declutter with purpose. Give with purpose. Move forward with purpose. 🙌 Always check current IRS guidelines or speak with a tax professional for your individual situation.

I don't have all the answers, but I know the One who does, and I'd love to walk alongside you as we seek Him together.
