I honestly think it's a combination of past hurt, lack of trust, and fear of judgment. Sometimes we've experienced things with other women that have caused us to put our guards up. We've been hurt, misunderstood, talked about, compared, or made to feel like we're in competition with one another. So instead of allowing ourselves to genuinely connect, we become guarded. I also think sometimes we struggle with celebrating one another because we're too busy comparing where we are in life. We have to understand that another woman's blessings, beauty, growth, or success doesn't take anything away from us. I believe we need more genuine sisterhood, more grace, more honesty, and more women who are willing to create safe spaces for one another. We don't have to be best friends, agree on everything, or be in the same season to support one another.
