Splitting google Pmax ( shopping feed only )
At what spend level would you recommend splitting a PMax campaign by product performance?
My current PMax campaign spends around €300 per day, with all products still in one campaign. I’ve heard people recommend separating winning products, underperformers and “zombie” products once spend reaches roughly €300–€400 per day.
What is the best way to approach this without disrupting the existing campaign? Would you keep the winners in the current campaign and move the other products into separate campaigns, or create completely new campaigns for each group? Also, which timeframe and metrics would you use to classify the products?
Finally, what normally happens to performance after splitting: should I expect a temporary drop during relearning, and what kind of improvement in spend distribution or ROAS is realistically possible?
