The Reluctant Keeper
So, I am writing about my daughter, Elizabeth. I am still working on her to realize that she is better equipped to be a keeper than a midfielder. She's just getting started. She is agreeing to go to some keeper training, just in case she is needed. I'm investing in her dreams, but I'm also hoping she falls in love with the keeper position after learning some skills. She knows the development of the keeper on the team she trained with last year led to their state championship. They never would have won without her as the keeper! A great keeper has that capability to change the result in many cases! But, you all know that already. So, I keep challenging. She took her cheap goalie gloves and played goalie in a rec soccer camp this week, voluntarily one day and then played mid (and got frustrated by the limits other player enforced on her) the next day. Nobody can tell her to stay out of their zone as a keeper! LOL! Here's hoping!
