So the goal keeper in my older sons team is recovering from surgery, Logan normally a defender is going to jump in goal Sunday for the team so he joined in at Wilson’s gk training yesterday. I’m concerned he’s enjoying it a bit too much 🤣🤣 not sure my nerves can cope with 2 keepers

I'd really like to do some work with Finley at home for his goalkeeping because he always wants to get out in the garden and play. I wondered if anyone had a goalkeeping training programme for U8s at all? I just want something easy that I can follow with him.

Wilson has a habit of the ball going through his legs 🤦‍♀️ his gk coach said to get him one of the exercise bands to encourage a closer stance and short quick side steps. Anyone got any other recommendations attached a video to show an example ☺️

Sadly I have not been picked , my dad said that they could still be watching me and I'm already proud of myself. I'm 13 (turning 14 1st August) trialing for an U16 position so I wasn't expecting to be the best one there . The trials in more detail was a tiring warm up, kicking from the floor and hands , sitting and doing plyometric drills and finally 1 volley to hands and 1 pass to floor. I can always try again next time !
