The last time I played for England

10 years ago today I pulled on an England shirt for the final time. Before anyone asks… no, it wasn’t at Wembley in front of 90,000 fans! 😆 It was representing the English National Prison Service at a multi-service tournament in Scotland, which we went on to win. But to be selected as the number 1 considering the vast amount completion and shear numbers of players to choose from is something I’m still super proud of!

I also had the privilege of representing the Royal Marines First Team on several occasions—another level of football that I’ll always be proud to have experienced.

Fast forward 10 years and I’m still between the sticks, competing at a good standard in the Over 35s game, having just completed another season.

The big question now is… what happens next season? 🤔

Is it time to finally hang up the gloves, or is there one more season left in the old keeper yet? 👀🥅
