Well, with Reevah still being out, what else to do on a Sunday. Yup, that's right, have a go myself. With coaching taking priority I don't have much time for games. However, today I played in goals for the first time in a while. I would have come away with a clean sheet but the ref gave a penalty against me and I did not touch the player 🤦🏻‍♂️. A good win for us anyway, and come away 3-1 🧤⚽

We had a mini tournament today playing 2 games and seeing us in to the final! The first match we played was against a team we had previously lost 5-1 to and today we beat them 7-1 which is an amazing turn around in just 2 weeks. Fred saved a screamer of a penalty and commanded his box so well, owning the 1 on 1's and really showed how capable he is at such a young age. Second match we won 3-1, again Fred making brilliant saves and really pushing himself. His decision making is really coming on.

This weekend Ivy's team had no league game and so we had a friendly with a team from the next county over. Now this season the girls have had a great season and we don't want to take that away from them, but as it's gone on they have been challenged less and less and as we feared complacency has started to set in as they believe they can beat anyone without much effort. Well yesterday they got found out and to be fair a by the second half a few of the girls stepped it up and went for it like we know they can. One of those who stepped up was Ivy. After the shots started coming thick and fast and their striker was following up for a rebound she realised she needed to own her box again. It was the most vocal we have seen her. (Some who have seen past post will know it's something we have worked on). She was coming for the ball and distributing it as quickly and calmly as she could. In the end they lost 5-0 but it was a big lesson learned for the girls but without Ivy having arguably her best overall game it would have been double and more she came away with the player of the game again. As a team thought they all came off smiling and wanting to play them again because at the end of it all they love the challenge and for me that was the big win.

I'm very happy now as we can finish 2nd in the league. I had a good game and my distribution was unreal. I may have fouled one of their players on the first goal ( I accidentally went for their legs instead of the ball🤣🫣). The 2nd goal was because of miscommunication I shouted keepers but the player went for it , left it and the they scored. I've leave you guys with some videos
