Before anyone asks… no, it wasn’t at Wembley in front of 90,000 fans! 😆 It was representing the English National Prison Service at a multi-service tournament in Scotland, which we went on to win. But to be selected as the number 1 considering the vast amount completion and shear numbers of players to choose from is something I’m still super proud of! I also had the privilege of representing the Royal Marines First Team on several occasions—another level of football that I’ll always be proud to have experienced. Fast forward 10 years and I’m still between the sticks, competing at a good standard in the Over 35s game, having just completed another season. First are my size 8 Pro S.25 negative and the other are Teddy’s S.25 negatives size 4 Mine split during second game wearing them (I don’t train) and the current state is after 4/5 games, Teddy’s have only been worn perhaps 10/12 times? Is that amount of damage similar to anyone else’s (I only play on grass) and Teddy’s is approx 50% on grass… Thoughts on the gloves you feel get the best wear because the rate I’m buying new gloves for Teddy, even with 35% discount is getting too much and was expecting more use out them.
