The importance of the car ride home
How important do we see the car/bus journey home after a game.
The ride may be quite dependent on the result. It may be full of conversation.
LISTEN. Let the players talk. take it all in. Let them lead.
This is the perfect time for reflection. And often where the players themselves will say something they can build on or pick out the positives from the game.
It was a joy to listen to Riley on the way home yesterday about how good his distribution was and how he can out bravely to stop chances .
I implore everyone to do the same. I learnt a long time ago that bringing up the mistakes does nothing for anyone.
