N.D.Y.F.L. Invitational Cup Final
Following a hectic busy weekend in Skegness at the ESF Festival of Football we had to leave the celebrations early to attend our Saturday League Cup Final at Alfreton Town FC this morning. Again playing 7v7 with just 8 players we faced Rotherham School Select Development Team who are basically a JPL Club. A little mix up in defence in the first half resulted in our Defender clearing the ball over Preston. The lads battled hard and managed to equalise just before half time. It was a tough second half as the lads got tired but they still battled hard and could have won it with some great chances.
Full time arrived with the scores level and the only person with a smile on their face was Preston.
5 penalties followed and the scores were still level with Preston making two crucial saves. The Penalties continued with 2 more from both sides but it was Preston with the big save for Spire Rangers to win 4:3. Well played Rotherham School Boys Select
