Any advice?
Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out for some advice. My son is dyslexic, and during training he sometimes struggles to fully grasp verbal instructions or concepts being explained by the coach. This can occasionally lead to frustration, and he has been told things like, “You’re not thinking. Think for once!”
As a parent, it’s difficult to watch him work so hard yet struggle with processing instructions in the moment. I know he wants to do well and is trying his best, but he simply learns and processes information differently.
I would really appreciate any advice, strategies, or insight from those who have experience working with dyslexic athletes, whether as parents, coaches, or players. Thank you in advance for any guidance you can share.
