IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ - Taking A Pause
Hi friends, I love trying out new platforms and new technology. It's my jam. When Alex Hormozi first talked about Skool, I couldn't wait to dive in and check it out. While it's been fun trying out this platform, it's missing features that are important to me in building an online community which is why I have not been as present on here as I would like. In addition, as you probably are away, life also got in the way this past year and my priorities shifted to being with my kids and Brian more than anything else. If you're in this community and you'd like to stay in touch, please consider visiting www.fosteringlongevity.com/contact and signing up for our email list - we'll be notifying you from there as we start to launch more programs with FosteringLongevity as well as any content. That being said, we hope you'll continue to join us on this journey... we are just getting started. Effective today, we will be taking a break from Skool.

The Best FREE Biohack
Friends, coming off of The Biohacking Conference, I shared how one of the biggest biohacks and something SO MANY biohackers have figured out, is that GRATITUDE can change your life. I shared in a post last week about how my gratitude practice got me through the toughest times in my life and if it weren't for that practice, I'm not sure I would have gotten through as well as I did. For those of you who don't have a gratitude practice, I've created a 21-day challenge to help you get started. Click on CLASSROOM in the menu above to get started. THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

BioHacking Recap
In case some of you are not on my email list, please sign up here so you don't miss out: HERE. You can either scroll down to the Get the Longevity Guide (if you haven't already gotten it) or you can scroll to the bottom of the page to 'Join the Newsletter'. Here's the recap we sent sharing our major takeaways from the Biohacking Conference last week. HOW DO YOU KILL A BIOHACKER? Immerse them in 4 days of gadgets, supplements, cold plunges, saunas, vibration devices, neuro feedback machines, brain taps and supplements galore. It may not have killed us, but it was certainly exhausting... in the best way possible. Wow, what a week!. B and I just spent 4 days in Austin, TX at Dave Asprey’s Biohacking Conference and as I sat on the 7am flight back to NY, my brain was on fire with all that we had seen, learned, experienced and felt. Brace yourself, this might be a long one. There was no better way to kick off the conference than by going from our flight (and fight or flight) right into the Ammortal chamber for a little multi-modality, full body reset and recharge. The chamber combines Infra-red light, molecular hydrogen, multi-wave pulsed electromagnetic and electric fields, vibro acoustics, and guided breath work. Check it out HERE. Tuesday night we headed to our friend Freddy’s house, more like a biohacking compound, for a party sponsored by StemRegen. The house had a sauna, oxygen therapy, pulse wave devices, cold plunges, NanoVi and red light panels. The best part about this gathering wasn’t the fun, fancy gadgets, it was the people. We met Freddy last year at Biohacking at the FlowPresso booth (more on his product later) and it was an instant friendship. That’s just the kind of guy Freddy is and the kind of people he surrounds himself with. Freddy has an awesome podcast called Beautifully Broken and has interviewed hundreds of people in the Biohacking/Functional Medicine/Wellness space to educate his audience and share his own personal journey through cancer, Lyme and mold toxicity.

Huberman with Dr. Christopher Gardner - How different diets impact your health
Loved the banter on this podcast as they went back and forth on differing opinions on certain foods and diet preferences. They emphasize the concept of a whole food plant-based diet, which includes meat, and the need for transparency and unbiased research in the field. The conversation also highlights the role of chefs in promoting healthy eating habits and the significance of making nutritious food accessible and appealing. By focusing on food quality and individual factors like genetics and metabolic health, individuals can make informed and sustainable dietary choices. The following is a summary provided by Sumly.ai. Key Learnings - Discussion on nutrition science and the importance of food quality - Emphasis on whole food plant-based diet, which includes meat - Clarification of the term "plant-based" and its inclusion of dairy and meat - Importance of a predominantly plant-based diet with some inclusion of dairy and meat - Need for personalized approaches to nutrition based on individual factors - Impact of genetic predisposition and insulin resistance on dietary outcomes - Role of chefs in promoting healthy eating habits and making nutritious food accessible - Emphasis on quality protein sources, such as beans and legumes - Challenges misconceptions about plant-based diets - Importance of considering individual needs and preferences when making dietary choices Actionable advice - Experiment with a variety of plant-based proteins such as beans, lentils, and soy to ensure you are getting a diverse range of amino acids in your diet. - Focus on the quality of your food choices rather than just the macronutrient ratios, as the nutrients in your food can have a significant impact on your overall health and well-being. - Be open to trying different diets to find what works best for your body, as individual preferences and genetic backgrounds can play a role in determining the optimal diet for you. - Pay attention to how different foods make you feel and adjust your diet accordingly to optimize your health and well-being. - Consider incorporating more whole grains and legumes into your diet to increase your intake of quality plant-based proteins and essential nutrients. - Be mindful of the environmental impact of your food choices and consider opting for sustainably sourced proteins whenever possible. - Incorporate low sugar fermented foods into your daily diet to improve gut health, increase microbial diversity, and potentially support mental health and well-being. - Remember that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition, and what works for one person may not work for another. Listen to your body and adjust your diet accordingly. - Stay informed about the nutritional content of the foods you eat and make informed decisions about your diet based on the latest research and evidence. - Explore different cooking methods and recipes to make plant-based proteins more palatable and enjoyable.
