They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall walk and not be weary, they shall run and not faint. Sister, the Lord is good. Stress that’s not address is very detrimental to your health and sets back your weight loss journey! Stress will cause 1. poor metabolism, 2. poor gut microbiome, 3. increase stress hormones like cortisol and hunger hormone ghrelin which make you eat more, 4. causes unhealthy gut brain connection leading to depressive symptoms and can cause emotional eating. 5. Increases insulin resistance and leads to increased belly fat leading to low energy production causing fatigue and poor sleep, and a cycle of lethargy and artificial laziness. 6. These things will increase the risk of cardiovascular events. The list can go on and on! The world today there is so much stress.. question is what you doing about it? If you don’t do something about it will do something to you!! Jesus says come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest! Are we really going to Jesus and taking from His rest, or like Jeremiah says, we are making ourselves broken cisterns and wells that can’t hold water while rejecting the Fountain and Well of living waters - Jesus Homself?
