For me, it’s having a nighttime routine (I call it a ritual, because my brain likes that word better than routine).
It’s simple:
Review your day, reflect on your wins, and plan tomorrow. If I’m in a rush, it takes no more than 3 minutes. (Though I usually like to spend 15.)
This is the ONE habit that’s made the biggest difference in my life - by far.
When I think back to the times I was most successful and at my happiest, it’s when I had this daily ritual.
Bonus points for a morning ritual as well, but the evening is the most important if you can only do one.
