This morning I was feeling off.
Nothing major had happened, it was just one of those mornings that I didn't feel like myself.
We all get them every now and then, right?
But I kept thinking what had triggered it, because I didn't want to feel that way.
I want to feel like my best self as many days as possible.
And that's when I remembered something I learned a few years ago: "The 72 Hour Rule".
Which basically comes down to that how you are feeling in this moment is the result of your last 3 days (72 hours).
How you exercised,
How sleep you got,
What you ate, etc.
And then it all made sense.
I've had a very busy week.
I had gotten less sleep the entire week.
I didn't work out at all this week.
I ate pretty well this week, but I didn't take a lunch break for 4 out of 5 days, eating my lunch on the go without a proper break.
I also spent more time scrolling on social media than I normally allow myself to do.
So no wonder I was feeling off this morning.
Out of all those things, the not exercising all week definitely had the biggest impact on me.
So I took out my running shoes and went for a 5K run.
And instantly I felt better and I was much more aligned during the rest of the day.
For me a good workout can cure any bad mood.
How are you feeling in this moment and what did you do during your last 72 hours?
