Day 12 Challenge: 🧠 We are not broken
Many of us are given labels because we don't fit the 'norm'.
But our brains and bodies were not designed to do what society now calls the 'norm'.
  • We as humans were not designed to be chained to a desk for 8-10 hrs a day.
  • We were not designed to eat highly processed food.
  • We were not designed to sit on the couch watch Netflix / doom scroll cat videos etc.
These are very recent changes to the way humans have lived / evolved over the last 6-7 million years. The industrial revolution was not that long ago. Just a blip on the evolution time line.
And it's only really since the early 80s that 'fast food' became a big thing.
Our brains were designed to be alert, so we didn't get eaten by predators or competing tribes.
They were designed to go for days without eating, that's why storing fat evolved.
We are not broken, the system is broken.
I knew this from a very early age. Sitting in a class room staring out the window. Planning my escape
Today the system is evolving again faster and faster with AI.
Will AI set us free?
Will we all escape to Mars? I hope not!
How do you cope with living in the current system?
For me it was finding something someone was willing to pay for on a recurring basis and developing systems and building a team of people to help me / fill in my gaps.
