Founder's Happiness Myth - tips on how to bring more joy and calm in our lives
What does energy mean to you as a founder? How do you know when you're running on full, and when you're running on empty? As founders, we often treat energy like it's infinite, something we can push through, sleep off, or caffeine our way out of. But here's what I've learned: energy isn't a resource you can just keep drawing from. It's a foundation. And if it cracks, everything else starts to shake. Here are three small practices that have helped me protect my energy, even on the busiest days: 1. Start your day with curiosity, not urgency. Instead of reaching for your phone first thing, take two minutes to check in with yourself. How are you really feeling? What do you need today? 2. Be curious about your energy, start observing yourself. Keep a simple energy diary for a couple of weeks. Notice when you feel good, when you're in flow, and what gives you energy. Write it all down. Over time, you'll start to see patterns, and that awareness alone can help you protect what fuels you. 3. Treat rest as a strategic advantage Rest isn't something you earn after you burn out. It's part of the work. Schedule rest like you schedule meetings, and take it as seriously as you would a client call.

Looking for volunteer psychologist
Hi everyone 👋 I’m reaching out with a small but very meaningful ask. I’m the founder of SheRebuilds, a nonprofit project supporting women rebuilding their professional lives after domestic violence through career guidance, coaching, and practical support. Right now, we’re looking for a volunteer psychologist to join our team. The role is centered around conducting initial conversations with women applying to our program — helping us better understand their current emotional readiness and ensuring that the support we provide is appropriate for where they are in their journey. We’re looking for someone who: ✨ has a background in psychology / counseling ✨ speaks English (additional languages are a huge plus) ✨ believes in trauma-informed, compassionate support ✨ would like to contribute a few hours to a mission-driven project We’re still growing, still building, and very much in that founder stage of “wearing all the hats while trying not to become the hat” 😅 So if this resonates with you or if someone comes to mind I’d love to connect. Sometimes the right person finds a project through exactly this kind of post 💛 https://sherebuilds.tilda.ws
Generosity > Competition
“What carried those women to the top was other women. The very thing we were trained to treat as a threat is the thing that lifted them.” - Susan Hyatt This coach I follow (and was trained by) shared a really important story and sentiment in an email this week and I wanted to share screenshots because it is such a great reminder of what we are building here. Not only are we here to see more women+ rise, but we are here to see us all do it together. Let’s be generous with each other. The patriarchy made it up, this notion that women are competitive. It was only ever a survival mechanism, it’s not real. We are collaborators. So I want to ask you, can you shout out someone in the community you can recommend or speak kindly about ? Or is there someone you are excited to get to know better and potentially collaborate with or support? All and any kind words count. ❤️💜
