Help with email marketing tools
Hello ladies! I need some help/advice. I want to choose an email marketing tool that I can use to open a wait list for a program I am running in the late summer, and then continue to use to build a list outside of Substack (my current newsletter) and I'd love to hear about which ones you use. I've been thinking of using Mailerlite, as my web designer suggested, but she also mentioned I need to register an official email address with my website domain and it seems a bit complicated and an extra cost. So, my question to you is, which email marketing do you use that is cheap and easy to set up? And if you have an email with your website domain, how/where did you get it? I am quite newbie to these matters so any input will be valuable! Thank you!! Ana

@Nina Simone Franke I used Brevo and found it so so outdated, and quite slow when it comes to email design. But it's intuitive and nice for building automations. And it's free up to 500 emails a month if I'm not mistaken, so good for the start. I'm switching to Mailerlite atm.

@Ana Amaral yes it's a general suggestion as far as I know - automated emails send with gmail most likely will fall into a spam folder...wuld be nice to hear from the experts in this field!
Founder's Happiness Myth – tips on balancing doing and being
What would change if you gave yourself permission to rest without guilt? How do you balance action with the time to simply be? As founders, we always have things to do. But learning to read your body and take time to rest and recharge will support you to endure on the long term. Here are three practices that have helped me balance ambition with rest: 1. Feed your action time with recharge time. Your ambition needs fuel. Schedule rest and creativity as intentionally as you schedule meetings. Spend time in nature, do something just for fun, or even do nothing, without guilt. It's what makes the work sustainable. 2. Feel what's there to feel. Don't push through everything. Emotions are part of life and they can get intense in the most busy time. Practice noticing your emotions, give them space, and become comfortable feeling and expressing them. Try journaling about them, talking to someone you trust, or use movement to help them go through your body. 3. Nurture your personal connections. Business can be consuming. But the relationships outside of work, the people who ground you and nurture you, are what make the journey meaningful. Protect that time and feed your soul with those who love you the way you are. Do these tips resonate? Do you have other practices that support you? Let's share the community wisdom here in the comments! Wishing you a nourishing summer! ☀️

The best leadership advice I've ever received in this regards -schedule rest and wellbeing in your calendar. Treat your workout the same way as the client/strategic call. Thank you for putting this together, @Ana Amaral

Hello from Porto, Portugal! 🇵🇹
Hi everyone! I’m Giuliana. 👋 I’m a PhD holder who decided to turn my own struggles with grad school into something helpful for others. I founded The Nova Hub here in Porto basically to be the 'big sister' support system I wish I had. We’re a cozy ecosystem for Master’s and PhD students where we do everything from casual write-ins, mentoring, to workshops on staying sane during thesis writing, and even planning future retreats.I also love using my own journey to help US students who are considering moving here to start their grad school adventure in Portugal. Basically, I’m here to make sure no student feels alone or lost. My heart is in building a place where women in academia feel supported, connected, and happy. Excited to connect! Meet Sandra, the Mastermind behind our Monday Accountability Calls! 💫
We're so excited to introduce @Sandra Rannanpää who will be working exclusively with our Female Lifestyle Business Accelerator cohort as the host of our Monday Accountability Calls — kicking off next Monday and running for 10 weeks! A little about Sandra: she's a UX/UI designer & developer with an M.Sc in Interaction Technology and Design, and the founder of FlowStack: the app that will be our accountability partner throughout the whole program. 📱 Every Monday, Sandra will guide our accountability sessions: checking in on our energy, celebrating wins, reviewing goals, and sharing practical tips to help us stay focused and consistent, week after week. You can download FlowStack for free here: https://flowstack-app.com/ (an app for productivity that understands struggles around ADHD; procrastinators, multitaskers and workaholics like me that also must make space for healthy rituals 😉) Get it set up before kickoff so you're ready to go with us on Monday. And if you've been on the fence about joining, we have 2 spots left. This is your sign ✨ Reach out and let's get you in before we start! Welcome, Sandra, we're so glad to have you guiding us through this journey 🤍
