There is a temptation in all of us to be selfish, to try to make it through life in our own strength. That is a recipe for disaster.. Because we have God, a Savior willing to carry our burdens. So, let us call on Him. Not only when we need "a blessing" but at all times. When we call on the Lord with our hearts, His promise is to be close to us. And knowing that God is close is not about a feeling but it is the promise He gives in His Word.

Faith comes from hearing God's Word. So, it is important for us to build those faith muscles by hearing God's Word. Whether during Sunday morning messages or through our own personal study time, it is important to hear God's Word. Because we need our faith to be strong when difficult days and seasons come. Let us depend on the power of God's Word during our time of trouble and difficulty.

The name of Jesus is the only name by which we are saved. Let us not be ashamed to say that we love the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is where we find our hope, peace, and joy. Regardless of what others may say, think, or feel, there is still power in the name of Jesus. We can't allow the doubts of others to infect our hope in Jesus Christ.

God's goodness removes the sin that separates us from Him. Because of Jesus' work on the cross, we are forgiven from sin and have eternal life as we believe in God. Let us find joy in knowing that God loves us enough to desire personal relationship with Him. God's amazing love is always a reason for gratitude and hope.
