beginner: breathwork cut short on inhale
for context I’ve basically let my job take over my entire life. I’m trying to seek out tools for stress management and quieting my brain. I have begun to look into meditation, breathwork, and journaling.
I notice every time on my inhale, it gets ‘cut short’. There’s definitely a limit to my inhale and I notice myself stuttering a breath before ultimately holding. I choke a little bit and let out a little breath, even though I know I should hold before exhaling.
It makes my breath work feel preemptive and not all fully there. I know the inhale I’m taking can be bigger but I almost always stutter a breath.
Where does this come from?
Am I that stressed out?
How can I make it better?
Thanks in advance!
