Hi
When you were diagnosed with CKD, did the gfr was considered based on creatinine levels or cystatin c based levels.
My husband had his first nephro appointment here in germany and results came out today.
His one month old report in india (14/4)
Creatinine - 1.17 mg/dl
Microalbumin-albumin - 64.30 mg/l
Urinary creatinine - 74.89 mg/dL
Microalbumin-albumin creatinien ratio - 85.86 mg/g cr
His latest reports in Germany (28/5)
Creatinine - 1.34 mg/dl
GFR - 68
Microalbumin-albumin - 30 mg/l
Urinary creatinine - 62 mg/dL
Microalbumin-albumin creatinien ratio - 48 mg/g cr
Cystatin C - 1.45 mg/L
GFr -52.5
I am bit worried…
Can someone guide if you have already done cystatin C test and how doctors interpret the results.
Because our next appointment with nephro is in September.
doctor if you can also guide. One positive thing is that the doctor ran tests for autoimmune kidney disorders and all results came back negative.
