As always, this session was also very good. We got a lot of important information. Thank you very much.
Low BP
My blood pressure had been running low for a few days, but yesterday morning it dropped to 80/50. I started sweating, my vision went dark, and I felt dizzy. I went to the hospital emergency room and saw my nephrologist. He discontinued both of my blood pressure medications—Telmisartan 40 and Metoprolol XR 12.5. The nephrologist also advised me to consult a cardiologist. The cardiologist agreed that it was best to stop both medications for the time being, until my blood pressure returned to normal levels. After that, I met the nephrologist again. Upon my strong insistence, instead of discontinuing the Telmisartan 40, he prescribed half the dose. I have proteinuria, which is why the nephrologist prescribed Telmisartan 40. While it didn't completely stop the protein leakage, it certainly reduced it. I haven't taken any blood pressure medication since last night, yet my blood pressure is currently 90/60. In the blood test I had at the hospital yesterday, both sodium and chloride levels came back below the normal range. This is the first time my test results have shown sodium and chloride levels outside the normal range. Since my blood pressure is still 90/60, I cannot even take half a dose of Telmisartan. I am afraid that stopping Telmisartan will further increase my protein leakage.

@Vivek Singh Ji, my doctor told me to drink 1.5 litre maximum. It is impossible to stay in this limit in summer. I drink 2 to 2.5 litres per day. If I go outside in this weather, then my water intake reaches 3 litres. In winters, I drink 1.5 litres maximum.

Exercise in CKD: One of the Most Underused Treatments
When people think about treating kidney disease, they often think about medications and diet. But one of the most powerful interventions is often overlooked: regular exercise. Research shows that appropriate exercise in people with CKD can: - Improve blood pressure control - Help manage diabetes - Increase muscle strength and energy - Reduce fatigue - Improve heart health - Enhance quality of life You don't need to run marathons. For many people, 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week (such as brisk walking or cycling), along with 2 sessions of strength training, is a good goal. The right plan depends on your overall health and kidney condition. The most important step is consistency—not intensity. 💬 Discussion: What type of exercise do you currently do, and what has been your biggest challenge in staying active with CKD? Let's learn from each other's experiences.

I walk at least for 30 minutes each after lunch and dinner. I walk 10 - 15 minutes after breakfast as well. Three months ago, I started light jogging for 15 minutes three times a week, but stopped after my creatinine crossed 2, though I cannot say if this increase in creatinine was due to this jogging.
Increased total protein

In your report, the total protein is 14.5 and the uPCR is <0.20, which is normal. Total protein and uPCR are different parameters.
Request to members
Most of the people here are CKD patients, I would like to know some info from them. It will help all the members. Please respond to the questions in comments. 1. When was their CKD diagnosed and at what Stage ? 2. What was the eGFR numbers at the time of diagnosis? 3. What is the present eGFR? 4. What is the cause of their CKD ? Just want to know if there are any patient here who have managed this for multiple decades at same stage. It might be useful to all of us.

1) Diagnosed in 2020, third stage, age 48, 2) eGFR in range of 60 to 50, 3) Present eGFR in range of 50-38, 4) Diabetes (according to the nephrologist). I have read comments on Facebook by CKD patients, who said that they were in 3/4 stage for 10 - 20 years.
