π’ Company: Chitrakala Interactive π Location: Remote within India β flexible hours π» Type: Full-Time πΈ Pay: Matching industry standards + profit sharing (post-release) π Apply: Please comment below and you'll receive the details via DM (This is to reduce spammers in the field) β οΈ At least one shipped title from start to release is a hard requirement β no exceptions π οΈ Skills and requirements: - 5+ years experience as a Technical Artist in game development β mandatory - At least one shipped title where you were involved from start to release β mandatory - Experience working in a game engine β mandatory Excellent visual skills and strong artistic vision β mandatory - Experience designing and maintaining custom tools β mandatory - Experience authoring a wide range of particle/VFX effects (hit impacts, footsteps, water splashes, and more) β mandatory - Experience authoring diverse shaders (water, vegetation, clouds, sky, characters, etc.) β mandatory - Familiarity with terrain/foliage painting tools, scene beautification, cubemap authoring β mandatory - Familiarity with rendering elements: decals, material blending, triplanar texturing β mandatory - Familiarity with at least one 2D tool: Photoshop, Affinity Photo, GIMP, or similar β mandatory - Familiarity with at least one 3D DCC: Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or similar β mandatory - Excellent proactive communication skills β critical (studio emphasised this three times) - Self-motivated, initiative-taking, and collaborative β mandatory - Design and maintain production pipelines for multiple asset types (characters, environment props, etc.) - Design and maintain asset integration and content authoring tools (procedural graphs, asset validation, etc.) - Create and maintain shaders for characters, vegetation, sky, water, clouds, and other world elements - Author and manage diverse VFX assets end-to-end within dedicated timeframes - Collaborate with producers, designers, programmers, and concept/3D artists across the full production pipeline - Bonus: Unreal Engine 5 experience β Niagara, PCG, Material Graph, and optimisation - Bonus: Deep understanding of the graphics pipeline - Bonus: Generalist profile across art and tech; wide gaming taste; interests outside games
