Should we read books or read only copywriting books
Supp guyys.
AJ here with an interesting incidence happened to me.
I am in few Copywriting discord servers posting daily inputs.
So yesterday 11 july I sent.
I posted that I am reading book "Power of NOW"
and to give you context I read this in school bus (I'm 15 guys) where i don't have device access

So one guy says .....
'bruh stop reading and replace the time u read with writing'
(this don't know I read in bus)
okay this is fair enough but then he further says
'there's nothing wrong with reading but if it's not even a copywriting book and it's taking away from the time to actually COPYWRITE then ur just procrastinating from what really matters'
then another one goes.. ...
'I don't think the reason he has of making it is big enough'
'some people take copywriting as a joke'
Guess what it pissed me off you think

NOT AT ALL !
I had a good laugh on it and killed it with my reply

People judge for whatever you do,
even if they don't know any freaky thing about you.
100% confidence in yourself with an open mind to evaluate what others advice ....
is what you need to GROW without ego.
Reading books is choice you make
People either choose it or not. Their preference.
You should know ... "Life depends on our choices. "
If you think your choice is good in the long run then you are right.
but if this is not right time to read books and you don't prefer .....
you're still winning ... in short term but sadly losing in Long.

LESSON to take from this incidence:
- People even if like you (in terms of copywriting ) doing better than mediocre things in life may judge and question on you are your inputs to satisfy their ego of feeling great but you instead of exploding in anger should handle it calmly understanding they don't know anything about you. Just let them go.
- Stick to your decision if 100% confident with open mind
- Think long term not short even if speed matters to you alot.
I hope question in the title is answered with lesson 2 we get from this short story/incidence.
