Jim Edwards' Copywriting Secrets: Few Nuggets
I don't see this book recommended a lot. But it has some of the core stuff
  • The reader cares about herself, not you dear.
Once you find your prospect, focus entirely on her needs, problems, pains, and challenges.
You're not authoring your autobiography.
Ask from the reader's POV: WIIFM - what's in it for me?
  • Avoid self-centered language:
Avoid overusing words like "I," "me," "we," or even "ours."
Instead, make it about "you"
It flips perspective.
'You' addresses the reader directly.
They will self-persuade when they experience themselves in the scenario you describe: the pain and the benefit.
Replace self-centered phrases with copy focused on them
  • Proofreading:
Revisit, Review, Revise.
Regardless of size.
Maybe take a break and Refresh your mind, then come back and take a new look.
Or get a different pair of eyes to proofread for you.
  • Study your list:
This is as obvious as it gets, and still bears repetition.
Pay keen attention to your readers behavior,
Identify their fears (such as loss of money or fear of change) and address them in your copy.
What lesson was new?
What lesson was an appreciated reminder?
