Make Clean the Inside

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees… ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Cleanse first that which is within, that the outside of thee may be clean also.” — Matthew 23:25–26 (KJV)

Too often, we focus on looking spiritual, disciplined, or “put together” while ignoring the inside: our thoughts, beliefs, and intentions.
